PART-TIME FITNESS INSTRUCTOR

HOURLY RATE RANGE: $17.00-$31.00

Description:
The City of Roswell Recreation and Parks Department is hiring instructors for multiple types of fitness classes such as Aquatics, Zumba, Body Toning, Yoga, Cardio, Pilates, and Silver Sneakers.

Requirements:
Group Fitness Certification, AED and CPR training required.

PART TIME TEMPORARY TRAFFIC COUNTER

MAXIMUM HOURLY RATE: $10.00

PURPOSE OF CLASSIFICATION
The purpose of this classification is to assist with field work in collecting traffic volume counts at intersections around
the City of Roswell.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification.  Other duties may be required and assigned.  Work involves performing turning movement counts, using manual traffic counters (to be provided by the City) for peak hours in the morning (7am to 9am) and in the afternoon (4pm to 6pm) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Workers are expected to stay in their vehicles to count. Use of a computer may also be required to perform counts on Mondays and Fridays. Work up to approximately 30 hours per week. Work may sometimes include observational studies, to note particular traffic patterns, movements, volumes at assigned locations. Studies conducted may include any combination of vehicles, bicycles, trucks, or pedestrians.
The work requires continuous concentration for a minimum of 2 hours at a time, to conduct the studies/counts assigned.  Other types of data collection may be required as well.  City of Roswell will provide training on use of the manual traffic counters.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED. Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license. Use of dependable personal vehicle is required. Hand/eye coordination is needed for use of the traffic counting device.

PART-TIME TENNIS INSTRUCTOR

HOURLY RATE RANGE: $20.00-$26.00

Location:
City of Roswell Tennis Courts

Status:
Part-Time; 29 hours per week or less

Pay:
$20.00 – $26.00 / hour depending on education & experience

Schedule:
Monday – Saturday, 9:00am-9:00pm (hours/ shifts vary)
Essential Functions:
This position is responsible to teach and coach tennis on City of Roswell Tennis Courts to youth, adult and team players. Work with the Roswell Community Tennis Association on their mission, goals and events to grow tennis in the Roswell Community. Work a flexible schedule to accommodate the instructional needs of the Department. Any other duties as assigned by the Tennis Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:
Strong tennis skills; an understanding of current tennis instructional trends as related to both youth and adult tennis players; excellent people and communication skills; high school diploma or GED; possess and maintain tennis certification from PTR (Professional Tennis Registry) and/or USPTA (United States Professional Tennis Association). Consistent tennis instruction experience of one year or more is preferred.

PART-TIME YOGA INSTRUCTOR

HOURLY RATE RANGE: $17.00-$35.00

Description:
Responsible for implementing yoga practices in an effective, safe, and fun environment. Ability to customize yoga classes based on needs, ages, and ability levels. Maintaining attendance through superior service and continued growth of yoga knowledge, skills and abilities.

Requirements:
Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Instructor – 200 hour level (RYT-200) or equivalent experience required.
