Job Description

The Georgia Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS), a division of the Georgia Department of Human Services, investigates reports of child abuse; finds foster and adoptive homes for abused and neglected children; issues SNAP, Medicaid, TANF and childcare assistance to low-income families; helps out-of-work parents get back on their feet; and provides numerous support services and innovative programs to help families in need.
DFCS is seeking a Economic Support Consultant 2 to perform duties to establish statewide internal and interagency relationships with governmental partners, non-profit organizations and direct E&T services providers. The individual will establish, maintain and cultivate relationships in all counties in support of the SNAP Works Program.
Job Description
Pay Grade: H
Establish rapport with governmental partners and non-profit agencies to determine partnership capacity.
Establishes initial processes, arrangements and or data sharing agreements.
Monitors the project scope, schedules, and tracks deliverables.
Trains, mentors and develops partnerships with governmental partners and non-profit agencies.
Assists with development of written agreement and training manuals
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university
OR
Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university AND One year of related experience
OR
High school diploma or GED AND Three years of related experience
OR
Two years of experience at the lower level Economic Support Cons 1 (SSP050) or position equivalent.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications
Two (2) years of experience managing multi county or regional work load with various organizations related to Employment Services.
Knowledge of public assistance evaluation policies and review procedures.
Ability to create and provide oral and written training or consultation on relevant policies and procedures.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, to include Word and Excel and/or standard software applications typically used in a corporate office environment
