Personnel Manager Needed
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Under broad supervision, performs duties for a variety of Human Resources Management programs while serving as the Human Resources liaison to the Department of Juvenile Justice’s Central Office of Human Resources. Coordinates full utilization of recruitment procedures and processes in assisting with attracting and retaining qualified staff. Serve as point of contact for Onboarding, Absence Management, Transactions, Benefits, Employee Relations, and Kronos for both internal and external customers by providing information to ensure compliance in processes and procedures.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree AND Two (2) or more years of experience in at least two (2) of the following Human Resources areas:
Transactions Processing
Absence Management (FMLA, ADA)
Time and Labor
Workers’ Compensation
Benefits
Experience in implementing Human Resources processes and standard operating procedures in the areas of assignment
Two (2) or more years of current or previous State employment in a large Human Resources department
Proficient knowledge of HRIS systems such as PeopleSoft and time management systems such as Kronos

Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university AND Two years of experience performing human resources functions OR Four years of human resource experience.
Preference will be given to applicants who in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications possess three or more of the following
3 or more years of advanced level experience using a Human Capital Management system such as PeopleSoft
3 or more years of experience performing recruitment related duties
3 or more years of supervisory or lead worker experience in a Human Resources office
Previous or current HR experience with State Government, preferably in a Law Enforcement Agency
